WOW is an innovative concept. The combination of all its areas becomes a bridge between an industrial company and the creative community through knowledge, networking and ID+I.
Dynamism is a central part of the project's DNA, of which its calendar is a clear example, with its diverse initiatives – from conferences to workshops – which provide enriching experiences.
This project consists of different visions, realities and perspectives, visible through its environment, its natural dynamic and the professional insight, networking or shared ideas any participant can experience, which can be determinant of their personal and professional environment.
Nature is constantly reinventing itself through the use of innovative industrial solutions, some of which are on display at WOW's Showroom. In this area, materials can channel different emotions, while reflecting states of mind and sensations through textures, patterns and glazes.
Professionals who work in architecture, construction and design, as well as students, can find inspiration, technical advice and the ideal solution for the completion of their projects, work interests or business at WOW.
In the educational area, all interactive content was designed in a way that anyone can expand their knowledge in this area, in both the production process and technical solutions applied to our products.
To all professionals, the educational area is an excellent way to find inspiration, knowledge and made to measure solutions to all the particulars in their projects.
In the Coworking area, the spirit of community, collaboration, accessibility and open-mindedness are always present. We intend to have all those who share this space, from freelancers and startups to major companies, to bond and build bridges between industry and creativity.
FINSA promotes and encourages partnerships with organisations (public and private) that aim at becoming an added-value opportunity to the entire WOW community.
The Digital Fabrication Lab (DFL) is an example of that commitment – a research group with the Centre for Studies in Architecture and Urbanism, part of the faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto, dedicated to the study and use of advanced digital technologies in architecture, product design and construction, currently headquartered at WOW.
This lab provides support to project development in the areas of digital computing, digital fabrication, robotics, 3D printing and virtual reality, demonstrating how important these protocols can be.
